Blog Post of the Day:

Tell me what you believe this cartoon is trying to say. Do you agree or disagree with this idea? Try and look at this from two different perspectives. What is your perspective? What would be an adult/teacher's perspective?

I believe that this cartoon is trying to inform the viewers that other countries, specifically India and China, are more focused on subjects like math and science than the United States. I don't exactly disagree or agree with this cartoon; it portrays the youth of China and India are not having full youth experiences, while students in the United States are more concerned with material goods and having a good time. From the perspective of a person who analyses data from test scores would say that this is accurate because other nations have higher academic standards than we do. My perspective is that of a teenager in the United States; however, I focus a lot of my time of my education. A teacher or educatior in the United States would say that we work just as hard to get educations, but an educator in China or India would say that we slack off all of the time.
